Carrefour de l’Estrie is the leading destination shopping centre of the Eastern Townships with 6.8 million visitors each year. It includes major anchors such as Hudson’s Bay, Simons, Rona, Best Buy, Winners, Bureau en Gros and Toys R Us.
Carrefour de l’Estrie is a super-regional mall located in Sherbrooke, in Quebec. With a total area of 1.2 million square feet, Carrefour de l’Estrie welcomes almost 6.8 million visitors per year and is the largest shopping centre in the Region. The centre houses nearly 175 stores, including The Bay, Simons, Rona, Best Buy, Winners, Bureau en Gros, and Toys R Us. In July 2013 Ivanhoé Cambridge, a subsidiary of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, acquired a 50% interest in Carrefour de l’Estrie from Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, who retains the remaining 50% ownership. Ivanhoé Cambridge also became the property manager.
