Daniel Fournier

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

As Chairman and CEO, Daniel Fournier oversees all of Ivanhoé Cambridge’s operations and investment activities, including strategy development, asset allocation, portfolio management and growth. He is also closely involved in the development of the Company’s network of local and international investment partners. Mr. Fournier is a member of the Board of Directors of Otéra Capital, a subsidiary of one of the leading Canadian pension fund managers, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, and Ivanhoé Cambridge’s parent company, for which he is also responsible.

Mr. Fournier brings to the table more than 30 years of business experience and a solid background in the real estate industry. Prior to joining Ivanhoé Cambridge, he was the Chairman of the Board of Genivar, now WSP Global, and a former member of Canadian Tire’s Board of Directors. He was also a Director of the Summit Industrial Income REIT and of Standard Life (Canada), now part of Manulife. Mr. Fournier is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the McCord Museum Foundation in Montréal. He also acts as Co-Chair of the fundraising campaign of Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke, Québec.

Biography

William R. C. Tresham

As President, Bill Tresham is responsible for all investments, operations and development activities of Ivanhoé Cambridge’s five business units.

Until October 2014, Mr. Tresham was President, Global Investments for the Company. He joined the management team of SITQ, a predecessor company, in July 2010 as Chief Operating Officer, Office and was subsequently appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in September 2010, a position he held until the company’s consolidation with Ivanhoé Cambridge.

Bill Tresham has held executive positions at large corporations for many years. He joined Trizec Properties Inc. in 1995, serving as Vice President, Asset Management, at the company’s Montreal office. In 1997, he was named Senior Vice President in charge of the Eastern Canada portfolio, and then Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 2004 to 2006. He subsequently went on to become Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Callahan Capital Partners in Chicago.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Tresham has served in various volunteer capacities for Princeton University. For many years, Mr. Tresham served as a Trustee of the McCord Museum of Canadian History.

Mr. Tresham has a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Laws from McGill University.

Biography

Nathalie Palladitcheff

Ms. Palladitcheff manages all activities related to Finance in the Company: Corporate Accounting, Operational Accounting, Treasury, Financing, Property Valuation and Taxation. She also leads the Human Resources team and Information Technologies team, and is responsible for the implementation of the best practices and technological trends to meet business needs and maintain Ivanhoe Cambridge’s leadership in the field.

Nathalie Palladitcheff began her career with Coopers & Lybrand Audit (1991 to 1997), before joining Banque Française commerciale de l’Océan Indien (1997 to 2000) as Director of Financial Affairs and Management Audits. She then served as Deputy Managing Director of Société Foncière Lyonnaise de Paris (2000).

In 2006 and 2007, she was Managing Director of Dolmea Real Estate, which is principally engaged in the acquisition, management and rental of residential properties in the Ile-de-France region.
Ms. Palladitcheff joined Icade in 2007 as a member of the Executive Committee in charge of Finance, Legal Affairs and Information Technology. In 2010, she also assumed responsibility for the Property Services division (Facility, Property Management and Council). In February 2015, she was appointed Acting CEO of Icade. She joined Ivanhoé Cambridge, in August 2015, as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Mrs. Palladitcheff was a Director of various Companies such as Silic, Qualium Investments, Crédit agricole CIB and Gecina, and presently sits on the Board of Directors of Spie, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Canada, the Fondation CHU Sainte-Justine as well as Otéra Capital.

Ms. Palladitcheff is a graduate of École Supérieure de Commerce de Dijon (ESC Dijon) and holds a Diplôme d’Études Supérieures Comptables et Financières (DESCF) and a Diplôme d’Études Financières et Comptables (DECF). In 2012, she received France’s insignia of Chevalier of the Ordre national du mérite (Knight of the National Order of Merit).

Denis Boulianne

Biography

Denis Boulianne

Within the Legal Affairs unit of Ivanhoé Cambridge, Denis Boulianne is responsible for the transactions team that assists the investment teams with acquisitions, dispositions, financings, partnerships, property development projects and other major transactions, for the Company’s portfolio as a whole. He is also responsible for the corporate and compliance team and is the secretary of the Board of directors of Ivanhoé Cambridge.

Mr. Boulianne has been practicing law for more than 20 years. He joined Ivanhoé Cambridge in September 2007 as Senior Director and is now Senior Vice-President, Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary. Previously, he practiced law with Fasken Martineau in Toronto and Shearman & Sterling in Paris before joining the legal department of Boston Scientific in Paris. With the extensive expertise that Mr. Boulianne has acquired during his career, he has played a key role in many major transactions involving emerging markets as well as our various international platforms.

Mr. Boulianne has a Bachelor of Political Science and a double degree in civil law and common law (B.C.L./LL.B.) from McGill University and a Master of International Law from the Université Aix-Marseille in France. He is a member of the Quebec, Ontario and New York bar.

Biography

Denis Couture

Denis Couture is responsible for the team whose responsibilities include media relations, internal and external communications, corporate social responsibility, governmental and international affairs, reputation management and event planning.

A seasoned financial and corporate communications professional, Mr. Couture has more than 30 years of experience with major Quebec and Canadian companies, in addition to solid international expertise. He served previously as Senior Vice President, Corporate and International Affairs, at Brookfield Asset Management in Toronto, where he also oversaw investor relations and communications. He was also Senior Vice President, Investor Relations and Communications, at Noranda Inc. and Falconbridge Ltd., and responsible for external communications at Air Canada.

In addition, he was a Senior Partner NATIONAL Public Relations, where he headed the firm’s Canada-wide financial communications group. More recently, he served as Executive Vice President, Public Affairs, with the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, where he contributed to the renewal of the pension fund manager’s image. He joined Ivanhoé Cambridge in 2012 during a pivotal period for the Company, which today manages more than Cdn$55 million of assets.

Mr. Couture sits on the boards of directors of the Canada-India Business Council, the Canadian Journalism Foundation and the Opéra de Montréal. He is also a former member of the boards of the Mining Association of Canada, the Association de l’industrie forestière du Québec and the Quebec section of the Canadian Red Cross.

Mr. Couture has a Law Degree from Université de Montréal. He speaks French, English and Spanish.

Sylvain Fortier - Ivanhoé Cambridge

Biography

Sylvain Fortier

Sylvain Fortier is responsible for all activities of Ivanhoé Cambridge’s residential business unit as well as for its hotels and real estate investment funds.

The residential portfolio comprises mainly properties in Quebec, California, New York City and London. Mr. Fortier also oversees implementation of the strategic directions for the Company’s hotel portfolio and its investments in real estate funds.

Mr. Fortier joined the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec in 2004, as Vice President, Asset Management, at Cadim. He was then put in charge of SITQ’s office building portfolio in the United States. In August 2010, Daniel Fournier appointed him Vice President, Advisory and Real Estate Strategy. In April 2011, he was put in charge of the Company’s newly formed residential business unit.

Mr. Fortier has worked in real estate for almost 30 years, in investment and financing involving various asset types. He began his career with the mortgage and real estate units of London Life and then joined Standard Life, where his positions included Regional Manager. Over the years, he has acquired a broad range of experience in real estate financing and management.

Mr. Fortier is actively involved in the community and has been a member of the financing committees of The Lighthouse, Children and Families, Centraide/United Way and the Institut de recherche en immunologie et cancérologie (IRIC). He sits on the board of directors of the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde (TNM) and is also a member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) and the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC).

Mr. Fortier has a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University, where he majored in finance and real estate. 

Rita-Rose Gagné
President, Growth Markets
Biography

Rita-Rose Gagné

Rita-Rose Gagné is responsible for the implementation of Ivanhoé Cambridge’s strategy in Latin America and in Asia Pacific. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Ancar Ivanhoe, a joint venture that manages more than 20 shopping centres in Brazil. She also sits on several boards of directors including Chongbang in Hong Kong and LOGOS Property Group.

Ms. Gagné has some 20 years of law experience, including 17 years in private practice. She worked with the Fasken Martineau law firm as Senior Partner, commercial and real estate law. In 2006, she joined SITQ as Senior Director, Legal Affairs, and was later promoted to Vice President, Legal Affairs, then Senior Vice President and General Counsel. After the merger of all the Caisse’s real estate activities under Ivanhoé Cambridge, she was appointed Executive Vice President, Strategy, where she led the portfolio and investment funds management. Appointed as head of the Growth Markets team in 2014, Ms. Gagné was promoted to President of the business unit in 2017.

Rita-Rose Gagné is a prominent speaker, much sought-after to discuss such topics as growth markets and international transactions.

Ms. Gagné has a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Université Laval and is a member of the Quebec and Canadian bar associations. She also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from McGill University and HEC Montréal (2012).

Arthur Lloyd

Arthur Lloyd is responsible for Ivanhoé Cambridge’s Office, North America business unit. Mr. Lloyd has extensive experience with most major real estate asset classes and in most of the major North American markets.

He joined SITQ in 2010 as Executive Vice President, Investments, Western North America. Mr. Lloyd began working in the industry in 1985 with Trizec in Calgary and Edmonton as Manager, then Director, of Leasing. In 1989, he was appointed Director of Corporate Development, then, in 1994, he became Vice President of Asset Sales. From 1997 to 2001, he held numerous positions with TrizecHahn Office Properties, including Asset Manager Western Canada and Senior Vice President, Acquisitions, and Asset Sales.

He then joined TGS North American REIT (real estate investment trust), where he served as Executive Vice President, then President and Chief Operating Officer. While at TGS, Mr. Lloyd acquired major office and retail properties in Denver, Dallas and Houston for an initial public offering. Prior to joining SITQ, he was President of Adam Capital Inc., a private venture-capital firm focused on capitalizing and adding value to start ups.

Mr. Lloyd is a founding shareholder of Killam Properties Inc. (KMP), of which he has also been a Director since 2000. In addition, he was a Director, Vice Chairman and Chairman of RESL, a private renewable-energy firm, from 2006 to 2008. Mr. Lloyd also served for many years as Chairman of the Calgary East Village Housing Society, a non-profit housing organization that built and operates an apartment complex for low-income residents of Calgary.

Mr. Lloyd has a Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Urban Geography from Saint Mary’s University. 

Mario Morroni - Ivanhoé Cambridge

Biography

Mario D. Morroni

Mario D. Morroni is responsible for the allocation of capital and for monitoring the Ivanhoé Cambridge portfolio’s overall performance. Mr. Morroni oversees the research and strategic market analysis from both the fundamental and capital markets perspective. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Otéra Capital.

Mr. Morroni is an experienced senior manager with solid experience in finance and investments, as well as pension fund management and administration. He joined the Association de bienfaisance et de retraite des policiers et policières de la Ville de Montréal (ABRPPVM) in 2001 as Vice President, Operations and Human Resources, and as a member of the Board of Directors. In 2010, he was appointed President and CEO of the ABRPPVM and assumed responsibility for the administration of pension plans, with total assets under management of $4 billion. Prior to his recent appointment as Executive Vice President, he also served as a member of the Ivanhoé Cambridge Board of Directors and as a member of the Audit Committee.

Mr. Morroni has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance from Concordia University.

Biography

Claude Sirois

Claude Sirois is responsible for all the activities of Ivanhoé Cambridge shopping centres in North America.

Mr. Sirois has over 25 years of experience in various sectors of the real estate business. He started his career with Ivanhoé Cambridge in 1990 as a Leasing Representative. He was subsequently promoted to Leasing Manager and then later worked in development. Mr. Sirois also served as General Manager of the Galeries Rive Nord shopping centre in Repentigny, Quebec.

In 2005, he was appointed Vice President, Investments, and in 2011, Senior Vice President, Emerging Markets. He then became Senior Vice President, Commercial Investment and Emerging Markets. As such, he was responsible for implementing the Company’s investment strategies in BraziI and China. More recently, he served as Executive Vice President, Shopping Centres, North America, where he was, among other things, responsible for all the Company’s investments and operations in Quebec and oversaw the implementation of construction and development projects. He was appointed in his current role in April 2016.

Before re-joining Ivanhoé Cambridge in 2005, Mr. Sirois held the position of Real Estate Manager, Quebec and Atlantic Regions, at BMO Financial Group. He also previously served as Head of Human Resources, Quebec Division, for the same group.

Claude Sirois has a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate from McGill University as well as an MBA from HEC Montréal business school. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
